　　 On December26th,2024,Veha Sakor,Koh Kong Province,Cambodia witnessed Dara Sakor an important moment in the country's aviation history-WELCOME CEREMONY FOR THE FIRST DOMESTIC CHARTER FLIGHT TO DARASAKOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.At8:30am,as flight K6151took off from Phnom Penh International Airport for the first time,with a flight time of about50minutes,it finally landed smoothly at the brand-new Dara Sakor International Airport,which officially declared the operation of this modern aviation hub in Cambodia.The inaugural flight not only marked a significant improvement in the connectivity of the Dara Sakor region,but also signaled a new level of Cambodia's position on the global aviation map.

　　 In the morning of December25th,the day before the inauguration ceremony,the airport team representative went to the Sculpture of Senior Say Phuthang for a memorial service to honor the pioneers who has committed and contributed to the construction of the airport.In the afternoon,a traditional Krong Pily ceremony was held inside the airport,an important blessing and celebration in Cambodian culture to pray for good fortune and prosperity for the smooth operation of the new airport.Team members have joined in this sacred and solemn event to express their best wishes for the future.

　　 At WELCOME CEREMONY FOR THE FIRST DOMESTIC CHARTER FLIGHT TO DARASAKOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT on December26th,the aircraft was greeted with the Water Salute Ceremony,a traditional way of celebrating a safe return of a flight and a symbol of the boundless life and hope that the opening of the airport will bring to us.The program that followed included a traditional Cambodian welcome dance,as well as gift-giving and photo sessions for passengers,which were carefully arranged and full of local style,showcasing the unique cultural charm of Cambodia.

　　 The main event was started with the National Anthem of the Kingdom of Cambodia,followed by a series of performances rich in national characteristics,such as traditional blessing dances,to pray for prosperity and good fortune for the opening of the airport.The guests of honor were Dr.H.E.MAO HAVANNAL,Minister of the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation of Cambodia,H.E.Mithona Phouthorng,Governor of Koh Kong,H.E.Ok Darariddh,Secretary of State of Ministry of Tourism,H.E.OU Viphup,Secretary of State,Ministry of Health,H.E.PAKSAMAY Sunit,Under secretary of State,Ministry of Agriculture,H.E.SARIN KUNAKOR,General Director of Technology of the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation,representatives of General Directorate of Immigration,General Directorate of Customs and other governmental departments;Ms.CHOI Xiu Ling,President of Cambodia Travel Agents Association;and Mr.LI Meng Chen,Chairman of COASTAL AIRPORT INVESTMENT CO.,LTD.and Mr.LIU Jinsong,General Manager of COASTAL AIRPORT INVESTMENT CO.,LTD.and their related colleagues have been present at the ceremony.

　　滨海机场投资有限公司董事长李梦晨先生发言示意，七星海的发展是一个充满挑战与机遇的故事，从一派未开垦的瘠土到如今领有完善基础设施的当代化地区，历经十六年的不懈力争。七星海国外机场位于七星海天海区，占大地积二十三往时公里，是总共七星海主要的临空临港经济区。该机场领有一条3200米长的跑说念，可幽闲4E级飞翔轨范，其空侧区4E级轨范跑说念(3200米X45米)，幽闲年游客婉曲量2000万东说念主次；航站楼5500往时米，幽闲年游客婉曲量75万东说念主次。自2016年开工以来，团队克服了无边挑战，于2021年荣获国外航空运载协会(IATA)和国外民用航空组织(ICAO)颁发的机场代码，象征着设施和服务达到了国外航空轨范。2022年及2024年区别完成了两次机场校飞测试。七星海国外机场不仅是一个航空枢纽，更是相接七星海与世界其他地区的桥梁。短期内将开设包括金边、暹粒等国内直达航班；同期竭力于尽快完成国外航路的通航，异日经营与中国、东盟乃至欧洲等国度完成直航。

　　 Mr.Li Mengchen,Chairman of COASTAL AIRPORT INVESTMENT CO.,LTD.,has expressed in his speech that the development of Dara Sakor is a story full of challenges and opportunities,and that it took sixteen years of unremitting efforts to go from an undeveloped wasteland to a modern area with perfect infrastructure today.Located in Veha Sakor of Dara Sakor,Dara Sakor International Airport covers an area of twenty-three square kilometers,and is the main air and sea port economic zone for the entire Dara Sakor.The airport has a3200meter long runway that can meet the4E flight standard.Its airside area has a4E standard runway(3200meters x45meters)that can accommodate an annual passenger throughput of20million people;The terminal covers an area of5500square meters and can accommodate an annual passenger throughput of750000.Since construction began in2016,the team has overcome numerous challenges,and the airport was awarded the airport code by the International Air Transport Association(IATA)and the International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO)in2021,signifying that the facilities and services have met the international aviation standards.Two airfield flight verifications were completed in2022and2024respectively.Dara Sakor International Airport is not only an aviation hub,but also a bridge connecting Dara Sakor with the rest of the world.In the short term,direct domestic flights to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap will be launched,while the airport is committed to completing international flights as soon as possible,with future plans for direct flights to China,ASEAN countries and even Europe.

　　 Dr.H.E.MAO HAVANNAL,Minister of the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation,was present at the ceremony and delivered a speech,emphasizing the significance of this historic moment for the development of the country.He also had high expectations for Dara Sakor International Airport,which will not only serve as a bridge connecting the province with other airports in the country and abroad,but will also be an important force for the development of the economy,tourism and trade in the region and the country as a whole.He emphasized that the opening of the first flight is a source of new employment opportunities and another strong evidence of the successful implementation of the Five-Angle Strategy of the7th Royal Government.In conclusion,Dr.H.E MAO HAVANNAL called on all parties to continue to work together to promote the development of Dara Sakor International Airport.He also called on the Ministry of Tourism,the General Directorate of Immigration of the Ministry of Interior and other relevant ministries and agencies to strengthen coordination to facilitate tourists and promote the implementation of the tourism and investment promotion and investment plan for the region and the entire province of Koh Kong.He believed that through the joint efforts of all parties,Dara Sakor International Airport would become a successful model that would drive economic development and social progress in the neighboring areas.
